A webinar is an online meeting where you can see, hear and interact with your instructor and fellow learners in real time. You join the live online webinar via a link (URL) that your instructor will provide to you. If your schedule permits you may join the webinar on the specific dates and times that they are offered during the course. During a live webinar you have several options as to how you interact and communicate with the instructor and other participants. If you have a headset with a microphone or an embedded microphone in your computer, you can speak during the webinar. If you have a webcam, you also have the option of turning on a video feed so that other participants can see you while you have your feed active. Both speech and video are optional, however. There is also a chat function integrated within the webinar platform so you can communicate with the instructor and other participants via chat. If you’re unable to attend the live webinar, you will be able to view a recording of the webinar one your own schedule.
