What are the admission requirements to take a course with the School of Continuing Studies?

We offer open enrolment, non-degree, non-credit courses to all learners, local or international. If you are 18 years of age or older,* you are welcome to enroll into any course, regardless of your prior academic background. 

International students are welcome to register into any of our courses. There is no additional admissions process or fees for international students. For more information regarding visas, please visit this Help Center article.

Courses taken at the School of Continuing Studies do not carry University of Toronto degree credit.  You cannot gain admission to the University of Toronto if you take courses at the School of Continuing Studies. To apply for admission to degree programs, please visit the University of Toronto Admissions website.

If you would like to enrol into a degree program, please go to the University of Toronto page for admissions. Please note that taking courses at the School of Continuing Studies will not give you admittance into a degree program. 

 

*For our full-time English Language Program course, you need to be at least 17 years of age to register. For our online courses in Gaming and XR for High School Students, the student must be between 13 and 18 years of age to be registered.
