What are system requirements for online proctoring?

The School of Continuing Studies partners with Proctortrack by Verificient Technologies® to offer online proctoring services. System requirements for online proctoring are listed below:

Proctortrack system requirements are:

  • Desktop computer or laptop. Please note that while Chromebooks can be used, desktop or laptop computers are preferred.”
  • Webcam and microphone (built-in or external) – test your webcam at  https://webcamtests.com/
  • Connection to network, Cable Modem DSL or higher, with sufficient internet speed: at least 1.5 Mbps download speed and 1.5 Mbps upload – test internet speed at www.speedtest.net
  • Operating systems: Mac: macOS High Sierra 10.15 or higher, PC: Windows 10 or higher, Chromebook: Version 100 or higher
  • Processor: MAC: Intel/AMD Processor 8 GB RAM or better, PC: Dual-core 2.4 Ghz CPU, 8 GB RAM or better
  • Plugins: Javascript enabled & Third Party Cookies enabled
  • Browsers: Mozilla Firefox v100.0 or higher, Google Chrome v100.0 or higher is the ONLY supported browsers for exams proctored through Proctortrack®. Pop-up blocker must be disabled.
  • Microsoft Word and/or Excel will be required for some exams. Please check with your instructor.
