Pakistan Institutional Documents/Official Academic Record FAQs Related to COVID-19

I completed my studies at a university in Pakistan, should I ask my university to send my transcript to you directly?

If you completed your studies at a university in Pakistan, we require your degree certificate and your transcript attested by the Higher Education Commission (HEC). You can find the detailed document requirements at Country Specific Academic Document Tool by selecting Pakistan from the drop-down menu. Please do not ask your institution to send your academic record to our office electronically as they do not meet our document requirements.

Since CES has limited number of staff had access to our premises since August 14, 2020, we will now authenticate the physical copies of your HEC-attested documents following our standard procedure if your application with Pakistan university degrees was submitted on and after August 14, 2020.

If your application was submitted prior to August 14, 2020, we will continue to attempt to verify your academic documents online directly with the Higher Education Commission (HEC). If the scanned copies of your academic documents have already included the HEC stamps, no action is required from you at this time. Otherwise, please upload the scanned copies of your freshly HEC-attested original documents to your application portal. To do so, you will need to log into your application portal and Locate AP0007 – CES Missing Documents in My Applications. Please ensure to upload both the front and the back sides of the HEC-attested documents with legible stamp numbers.

My HEC-attested documents were received by CES prior to the official closure on March 17 and I have received confirmation that it was matched to my file.

As you completed your studies in Pakistan, we will attempt to verify your academic documents online directly with the Higher Education Commission (HEC).

However, please note that applications are reviewed sequentially based on the date when the application and all required documents arrived at CES; this alternate measure will not grant you an accelerated processing time. At the moment, as you can understand, we are mobilizing our resources toward finalizing in-progress files from December and January, as they were immediately and most severely affected by the closures as of mid-March.

My HEC-attested documents were sent by mail but I did not receive a confirmation of receipt from CES before March 17.

If your checkbox 2 Transcript received has not been ticked off, this means that on the last day our offices were open, we had regretfully not yet received or processed your institutional academic documents. Your documents may have arrived at the University of Toronto since then, but unfortunately, we have not had any access to our premises since March 18 and therefore cannot confirm whether this is indeed the case and whether they meet our document requirements. As the majority of our staff continues to work remotely, we likewise seek to uphold the fairness and equitable access to all of our applicants by adopting alternative digital measures wherever possible meanwhile processing applications in the order in which all supporting document were received.
