What is a UTORid?

The UTORid is a U of T credential that is issued to School of Continuing Studies learners in order to access Quercus (UofT’s Learning Management System) and Campus WiFi. .

A UTORid activation letter will be emailed to you three (3) calendar days prior to the course start date with the subject line ‘Your Quercus Access Letter.’ If you registered with less than three (3) days or after the course start date, you will need to wait up to two (2) calendar days to receive your access letter and credential.

UTORids are active for the duration of your course and will generally expire 30 days after the course end date. Course materials will not be available once course access expires. If you register for another course in the future, your UTORid will be reactivated, and you will use the same UTORid and password to access your course within Quercus.

Note: If your course requires University of Toronto Online Library access, your UTORID and password will allow you access. If your course requires University of Toronto email account, you will be directed to create one during the activation process. Only learners enrolled in courses that require this type of access are eligible for library or email access.
