After obtaining your UTORid information, take note of the “Secret Activation Key” field. Use the “Secret Activation Key” to activate your UTORid by following the steps below.
- Open a web browser (i.e., Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, etc.)
- Go to: https://www.utorid.utoronto.ca/
- Click the Activate Button
- Follow the instructions there
Note: We strongly encourage you to save the password you create as part of this activation process in a secure location and set up the password recovery service as part of this activation process to assist with UTORid password resets if needed.
If your “Secret Activation Key" is blank that means you have been issued a UTORid previously that has already been activated. Please use the UTORid and the password you chose when you first activated it.
Make sure that you follow the instructions and go through the entire process. The last screen should say “Your activation request has been accepted“.
